Originally designed as a woodworking tool, the original zester revolutionized grating in 1994 and quickly gained support from professional chefs and culinary enthusiasts.

Our graters are dishwasher safe, excluding the Master Series, but to maintain their sharpness, we recommend washing them by hand. Each product comes with a protective cover for increased longevity and easy storage, and our hand-held paddle graters feature non-slip rubber feet for superior stability. Thanks to the sharpness of our blades, grating with minimal effort is all it takes for food to glide gently and easily off the blade without needing to apply pressure.

The Microplane 42000 Artisan Series graters make fast work out of zesting citrus, grating potatoes, carrots, onions, cheese, coconut, chocolate, and other foods. They are all dishwasher safe and feature surgical-grade stainless steel blades in four unique styles, colorful plastic frames, and ergonomic handles. Each set includes a Medium Ribbon Grater, Fine Grater, Coarse Grater, and Extra Coarse Grater in Green.

With a grating surface of 4 3/4" x 2 1/8", the surgical grade stainless steel blades are encased in a plastic frame and handle. Reusable protective covers are included, and all graters are top-rack dishwasher safe with the covers recommended for hand washing. To maintain the sharpness of the graters, we recommend rinsing them in warm water immediately after each use and removing trapped particles from the non-sharp side whenever possible. For trapped particles on the front, soaking the tool in warm water and using a cleaning brush in the same direction as the teeth is recommended.
